HMA Horse Blanket Story
Since the beginning there was always a mutual passion for animals. One day while shearing some alpacas, Alex Vogt observed a horse after a training session, being wrapped in a blanket for warmth and comfort.
A concept was born
A horse blanket combined with alpaca fibres.
The excellent properties of alpaca fibre have been appreciated for thousands of years. Especially for the outstanding properties of warmth, even when exposed to wind and moisture, while maintaining breathability and thermoregulation.
The idea of a horse blanket became serious. After two years of complex prototyping, and countless quality tests on dozens of horses, the time had come. At the end of 2017, Alex Vogt held the finished product in his hands!
The HMA horse blanket is the result of decades of experience working with horses and alpacas.

Alexander Vogt, born in 1968, has always been tinkering with new ideas
His studies in dairy engineering led directly to a reorientation, as the whole industry was affected by a structural change due to mass closures of dairies. After several professional stations and stays in Australia, he now earns his living with services in the construction industry and alpaca products, among other things. The father of a son, is married, and a passionate alpaca owner.
